Buckle up if you're interested in AI news and my take on it from an IC pov. A hidden gem by OpenAI presenting at VIVA Tech, Paris this week...
OpenAI demo of the power of multimodal (basically comms inputs and outputs for gathering and spitting out info using vision (images, videos), speech, text... just waiting for smell), and the importance of AI agents (which are specialist AI task bots which have expert knowledge on that particular tasks, such as about change, planning, strategy, emails, calendars and meetings, etc.)
📽 The video below shows OpenAI's Head of Developer Experience, Romain Huet, revealing the potential growth of AI models over the coming few years, and also covering ChatGPT, Sora (their video generator), Voice Engine (their voice generator and replicator), and DALL-E (their image generator).
Romain showed the power of ChatGPT's Mac desktop version of its vision and speech capability, which was previously shown off last week with the announcement of ChatGPT-4o.
He also previewed that future ChatGPTs may be called terms related to 'Next'.
And for his pièce de résistance, he demoed Sora creating a short vintage film scene of a stroll through Paris based on a text prompt. He then showed its vision capability of breaking it into screenshots as he asked it to create a transcription for the video as a presentation. And finally, set up a voiceover to it using his own voice after giving a sample to its Voice Engine. All, pretty much 'live' in real-time. Very impressive.
Some future IC applications ideas:
Developing engaging and personalised content related to exactly how you need it. However, new skills needed will be our knowledge of being about to storyboard, directing, visualise, so you can explain what you need well.
Interactive Training & Development and personalised content and understands your workload and can slowly nudge you to complete stuff in your own pace
Visual storytelling to bring written content to life and possibly integrate real interview footage
Interactive communication with stories brought to life where employees chat with the story based on a full set of knowledge behind the scene
Accessibility and inclusion with the multimodal approach fully integrated including instant and seamless language translations of any content without the need of clicking separate things because it knows you
Creating an interactive and engaging comms and feedback experience.
I'll be sharing as many different IC user cases as possible and how AI can be integrated into your workflows and which tools enable the possible. Follow me if you haven't already.
